The Stowe Antique and Classic Car Meet, the granddaddy of all vintage car shows in scenic Vermont, will open to the public Friday through Sunday. During these three days, an estimated 850 antique, classic and collector cars will be on exhibit at Nichols Field, just south of Stowe Village on VT Route 100.
Organized and staged by the 400 member Vermont Auto Enthusiasts, this edition represents the 50th iteration of one of the state's premier summer recreation events. Three-day highlights include a large automotive flea market filling over 400 exhibit spaces and a car corral with an estimated 150 "for sale" antique cars. Saturday's events include the fashion judging contest of period attire, a collector car parade in and around Stowe and the annual street dance. Sunday features technical judging of qualified vehicles and the awards ceremony finale in the afternoon.
In honor of our 50th Anniversary, we will celebrate with ice cream and cake on Sunday afternoon!
The Stowe Volunteer Firemen operate a wonderful food concession at the field. Be sure to try their 'Five Alarm Breakfast' any morning, if you're up to the challenge! The Firemen's 1929 American LaFrance fire engine, a previous show winner, will be on display as well.
Do come and enjoy the fun of this mid-summer event for the whole family. Rain or Shine! Enjoy Stowe's scenic beauty, a year round destination resort with great shopping, world class hotels and restaurants and topnotch recreational venues, including the popular Stowe Recreation Path.
Show Admission: Adults $8/day, Seniors (60+) $5, children under 12 are free.
