We are working on additional events, COVID permitting. Two we can mention briefly: one for a picnic at a lake in June and the second for a gathering on the Burlington waterfront in September. We will also be scheduling a cruise and other events once the weather breaks. Stay tuned.

Join VAE members and friends for a beautiful Fall Foliage, Picnic, and Farmers Market Cruise to historic Craftsbury Common. Here are the details:                                                      
  • Date: Saturday, September 26, 2020
  • Meet at Big Lots parking, Rt. 15 lot in Morrisville
  • Cruise will depart promptly at 11am.  Destination is beautiful and historic Craftsbury Common.    
  • Route is all paved roads with no road construction sites and lots of great scenery. Total miles 18 from departure. 
  • About the Cruise and Craftsbury Common: The last Craftsbury Common Farmers Market for 2020 will be underway upon our arrival. Pack a picnic lunch ! There are picnic tables available on the Common or bring a blanket. Food vendors will be available as well.
    Craftsbury Common was founded in 1789, two years before Vermont became a state. The Common is also one of the locations used in Alfred Hitchcock’s classic 1955 thriller “The Trouble With Harry” and starring Shirley MacLaine in her first movie.
