Chuck Haynes met Paul Dutton’s daughter, Martha, at Stowe in 1965 and later married her and in a sense, the VAE as well. Chuck was working at Page’s Model A Garage in those days so was more than qualified to become an officer of VAE.
Chuck had the pleasure of chairing one of the rainiest Stowe Meets (we don’t have those anymore) and has more recently restored a 1946 Mercury Convertible. He has also headed up the VAE Scholarship committee which has become an important part of the club’s focus.
We are certainly glad that the Haynes family is part of our history and has carried on the Dutton tradition to the third generation.
