President in 1972 – Graniteville, Vermont
Wayne was driving a 1930 Chevrolet Roadster Delivery pickup when he was president. Wayne, with the help of his wife, Winifred, chaired the Stowe Meet for three years.
Wayne’s management skills came into play in reorganizing the parade so that it was much less disruptive to Route 100 traffic. The flea market was started about this time and a charge of 25 cents was initiated for the entry to the Meet to cover costs.
Continuing to be active, Wayne and Winifred have organized and run the Annual Myster Tour with their friend Alden Chapman along with the arrangements for the meal prior to the VAE Annual Meeting in Brookfield.
