Larry Johnson – VAE President 1973

President in 1973 – Charlotte, Vermont

Larry epitomizes the person who enjoys the hobby and has brought this enjoyment to the members of VAE as Wheel Tracks Editor in 1971, and in many other humorous ways.

Larry’s “official” car for many years was his 1935 Ford Woodie in which he took a memorable trip to Ohio (and back). He wrote a great account of the trip for a 1971 Wheel Tracks.

Larry’s passion for antique cars is not limited to Fords since he has owned a 1939 Mack Pumper and a selection of tractors.

A more recent and familiar car is Larry’s 1931 Model A Woodie with which he has received several awards.
